This means you can mix and match receivers depending on which on is best for your pet. The Ultralight Receiver is world's smallest and lightest receiver. We recommend the Petsafe PUL-250 Ultralight Fence Receiver for cats or dogs that are easy or average to train. The Ultralight Receiver comes complete with nylon collar, batteries and short probes for short hair dogs and long probes for long hair dogs. It is compatible with all PetSafe™ brand underground fences and Radio Fence and Pet Guardian Underground Pet Containment Systems.

We recommend you get extra batteries with your order. Initial system set up and pet training will create more drain on the batteries than normal. Typically the batteries included with the receiver will need to be replaced after 30-60 days. Battery life under normal usage averages 4-6 months.NOTE: The Instant Fence Wireless Pet Containment System has its own unique receiver. If you need a receiver for the Instant Fence, be sure to order the Instant Fence Receiver, item PIF-275-19. No other receiver is compatible with the Instant Fence.
