How it works: Scoot® Mole. Repellent is applied with water, simulating a rainstorm. This causes worms to move through the soil (where they’ll get coated with oil) toward the surface for air. When moles (who must consume their weight every three days) eat the coated worms, the castor oil enters their system. Nature takes its course; they won’t be able to keep any nutrients in their body, and will leave for untreated areas. This process of repelling the moles can take a few days to two weeks.

Application: Attach to a garden hose end and turn it on. (In cold weather, set product in a basin of hot water first to thin the oil). Take your time (25-35 minutes), allowing the ground and the worms to become fully saturated. Reapply roughly every four months to discourage moles from returning to the area. For longevity, perform “banding” – treating a small strip (10-20 feet wide) around the perimeter of a mole-free area.

Coverage: Each quart of mole repellent treats 10,000 square feet (almost ¼ acre) for one application. Each gallon treats 40,000 square feet (almost an acre) for one application.
